Photoshop and things
Mar. 21st, 2014 11:03 amI just redownloaded Photoshop.
IT WAS A GREAT IDEA.
I redid so many icons, touched up a buncha photos and really got excited about making shit again! And no more relying on other people's icons (and therefore I won't have to credit them!!) And my stuff doesn't have to look so crappy now.
My poor macbook is having a meltdown over all the ram I've used up, but it's refreshing to know in the two years I've not touched Photoshop, I have retained pretty much everything. Even on a new version. How encouraging!
I'm off to make a website for my portfolio and I have no idea what to call it besides something awful like retroade.com or some shit. I almost registered back my old domain after-sin.org but it sounds too emo for a professional-ish site. (It wasn't even supposed to be an emo-centric name.) Will have to sit around and find out something that works, seems like.
REALLY excited to go see the Room tonight. I want a picture with my friends Sestosterone and Tommy. But I don't know who will come with me. So chances of me going alone with my camera, a copy of The Disaster Artist and a bunch of spoons seems to be the plan. (God that's going to be awkward with me screaming stuff at the screen alone.)
Honestly, turning my back on retail was the best decision I did for myself. Fuck retail! Time to freelance and make the big bucks. ALL THIS TIME I had the skills to freelance and my lack of confidence that whined BUT YOU NEED SCHOOOOOOL got in my way. Absolutely no harm in getting photography work on the resume and taking classes while I freelance.
